Last admission will be 40 minutes before closing and all bars will close 30 minutes before closing.

Getting Here Information

Train

Getting to us by train is so easy as the NEC is located just a five-minute walk away from Birmingham International Railway Station.

Direct services run all day but if you’re travelling from further afield, you may need to catch a connecting train at Birmingham New Street, which is just a 9 minute journey.

Bus & Coach

Jumping on a bus in the West Midlands area? There are numerous options that will get you to the NEC. Check out the Network West Midland link to plan your journey.

From Birmingham Airport you can get to the NEC via the free air-rail link, which takes just 90 seconds and runs every two minutes.

Taxi

We’ve teamed up with TOA Taxis to ensure a safe, friendly service is available to you 24/7 at the NEC

You can book over the phone by calling 0121 427 8888 or 0800 0142 729online or via their handy app. Alternatively, pick one up at the clearly marked ranks outside our main entrances. For added convenience TOA Taxis accept all major credit cards, subject to a charge of 10%+VAT.

Other Taxis and Private Hire Vehicles

If you plan to arrive at the NEC using other Taxi or Private Hire providers, ask to be dropped off at the Piazza drop off and pick up area.

At the end of your visit if you choose to use TOA you can be picked up by the main entrance, or if you are being picked up by other Taxi or Private Hire providers, you will need to go to the dedicated Private Hire pick up area. 

You will find one located at the Piazza entrance, a short walk from the main entrance. The location is shown on our site plan.

Camping

For the first time ever, the Great British Beer Festival has teamed up with the Caravan and Motorhome Club to bring you the ultimate festival experience – on-site camping at the NEC in Birmingham! The campsite is ONLY available for caravans and motorhomes, NO tents will be allowed due to the site being all hard standing.

Car & Parking

The NEC is clearly signposted from all motorways and major routes including the M42, M40 and M6. Use the postcode B40 1NT to get to the venue but once there it is best to follow signage on site.

After parking, jump onto the free shuttle bus, or take a leisurely stroll along the signposted footpaths.
